Chinese-based cyber spy network exposes need for better security: Cdn researchers

An international cyber spy operation that targeted government computers has been exposed by a Canadian security research group.
The China-based operation, dubbed GhostNet, infiltrated over 1,000 computers in more than 100 countries, according to the BBC.
The spy operation targeted politicians, diplomats and journalists using spyware installed on computers to gain access to sensitive information since 2007.
The operation continues to invade and monitor more than a dozen new computers a week, according to the New York Times.
Targets in the UK included the Indian High Commission, Associated Press news agency and International Chamber of Shipping, according to other media reports.

The IWM has linked to operation to locations in China, but said there is no conclusive evidence that the Chinese government is involved. Beijing authorities have also denied involvement.
High profile targets included Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, whose office asked Canada's Information Warfare Monitor (IWM) research group to check their computer systems.
So, That's the basic reason why you should learn all the necessities to prevent yourself from such attacks, which you can learn for free from here. ;)

When Ankit Fadia's Website was hacked twice in a month.

Ankit Fadia is known as one of India’s first 'ethical hackers'. He has been recognised by a number of software companies, and has written many books about computer and internet security. Now, in a twist of fate, his website has been hacked and defaced yet again. This was the second time in 2012 that Fadia's website got hacked
The message reads:
“PAWNED

[!] HACKED You Again, Fadia !.Seriously i think maybe you should change your profession to farming ?
[!] India's “so called” Number 1 Ethical Hacker Hacked?
[!] you must be wondering how i bypassed your security ..?
[!]What security ? :D”

[!] Greetz:
According to the hackers, they have done nothing illegal and have just responded to the challenge that Ankit Fadia had put forth. Fadia had earlier challenged anyone to hack his website.
This was not the first time that Ankit Fadia’s website got hacked. In January 2012, his official website got hit by a hacker group that identified itself as Team Grey Hat. The hackers seemed to have got access to the files on his server. A pastebin dump had been setup that shows screenshots of the files.
The note by the hacker group rubbishes Ankit Fadia as a hacker and his courses in hacking. The pastebin dump also mentioned the database details, including the username and password used. The Hacker News claims that the site was also hacked by Himanshu Sharma, a hacker well known in the hacking circles since he was 17.
Ankit Fadia has appeared on several TV shows as a host offering technology and security advice to his viewers. He has also authored books on Internet security and ethical hacking. He’s also known to offer talks and speak in seminars on security related topics. There have also been reports that books written by Ankit Fadia contain plagiarised content.
The current hackers have posted a link on Fadia’s defaced website that claim that the ethical hacker is a charlatan and has plagiarised content for his books. The link posted alleges, “Fadia has spent his entire career talking about hacking and security, but has not performed penetration testing, has not secured networks, and only offered pedestrian “hacking” training re-branded as a certification bearing his own name.”
Ankit Fadia got his first book published when he was fifteen years old, which made him the youngest author to have a book published by publishers MacMillan India. Fadia has also sponsored the Singapore Management University’s 'Ankit Fadia Study Award', which has a $1,000 cash prize, along with a certificate. The award is awarded annually to “an outstanding student” in the Information Security and Trust Course under the Bachelor of Science (Information System Management) degree.
So, My point here is that no, you can't be perfect, you are not God.
But yes you should always keep trying and never try show off what you have learned from others and not earned yourself or else you could be trolled just like Fadia... LOL

NLP Hack That changes Behaviour!

Creating change in our own behaviour is far easier when you get that structure trumps content.
Every other day I get an email or two asking for tips on how to change some behaviour.
At it's core, change can be truncated to
Stop doing one thing
Start doing something else
Of course it would be lovely if simply saying stop/start was enough. It typically isn't.
Your brain and nervous system need an education on what you want it to do.

By being exposed to the new behaviour several times, you give your brain the chance to wire up the requisite neural pathway for that response to become automatic.
Alas, our brains like Windows Vista.
At the heart of the code is the potential for a great operating system, however upon first boot it's full of junk code.
For example when you say to your brain "go to the gym", if it's got the default code running, you'll notice it will start doing all kinds of weird things like:
- picking up the TV remote

- opening up another browser tab for YouTube
- surfing Facebook

Anything but the darn thing you asked it to do.
When the code you are running is that buggy, here's a handy trick for you to do.

Don't give it a command like "go to the gym", instead focus on completing the next step in the process that leads to the outcome you want.
For example I'm about to go for a swim. But my shoulder is telling me it's tense and my brain just told me "the water in the pool will be cold plus the pool will be really busy."
All positive ;-) encouragement for me to NOT go.
Basically the brain is incredibly conservative when it comes to energy output.

Going to the pool requires me to raise my energy, grab my gear and walk a half mile to the pool.
Or I could stay in and eat some nice cookies (Belgium choc chip... mmm!)
So to trick my brain... to make the perceived effort lower and pathway to the result far easier I switchmy focus to the process.
In this case I see myself going to my towel rack, picking up a towel and shorts, dropping it inside my gym bag and picking up my googles.
My brain goes "that's easy!"
Next I flash snapshots of my front door opening, see the gym bag on my back and visualise myself walking across the street.
Brain goes "that's easy again!"
My brain doesn't have time to throw up objections and now I notice my brain is wondering "where are we going?".
By shifting your focus from the end result to the direct next physical action, running the simulation through your mind and seeing yourself being successful (and it is enjoyable) before you even start, you short-circuit the buggy code in your brain.
[Actually you've stopped your brain from doing one thing (the old response) and started it doing something else (the response you want).]
The whole process can be completed in 20 seconds.
I'm off to the pool now, with no drama.
What could you use this hack on today?
It's a simple hack that can change your life.

7 simple Psychology hacks that leads to a happy living.

7. Hang around the right people

Everyone knows to not hang out with negative people. They just spend the whole day complaining, reducing your morale. However it’s also a good thing to surround yourself with people better than you.
Having a constant reminder of what is possible through daily conversation will help boost you up. Successful people also like imparting their wisdom and helping others get their gears going. Somewhat like an investor on your life.

6. Design your personal space

Not only should you be around people that inspire you, but you should also be in a place that inspires you. Being in a drab and gloomy area has a greater psychological effect than you probably think. Fix up your place and design it to fit your personality. If your work is on the go, look sharp. Dress like the person you want to be.

5. Exercise

Do this regularly. Other than filling up your schedule and getting your body healthier so you don’t feel the weight of the world on you every morning, it fills you up with endorphins, or happy hormones.
I also find two other great merits to working out: it can be extremely addicting, and there are tons of ways to do it. Don’t stick yourself to a gym if you don’t like that kind of stuff. Go dancing, sprint around the city, get into mixed-martial arts. Get something that you enjoy and make it physical.

4. Push your limits

A lot of times, unproductivity is a result of gunning for mediocrity. You stay in your safe zone and only do the things you know you can do. But you need to strive for more. Do more. Fail more.
Don’t be afraid to go for that extra task even if you feel like you’re not going to make it. But of course, do not just run around like a raging barbarian. Take calculated risks. Don’t be an idiot.

3. Blog about your development

Documenting your progress online can have an amazing effect. Not only are you able to remind yourself of what you have already accomplished, but others are able to take inspiration off of this, helping you feel that what you’re doing is right and that you are doing something excellent for the world. Readers will look to you for constant content, and that constant content relies on you improving yourself.

2. Get a critique circle

Complementing the last point, getting someone to partner up with helps you a whole lot. Whenever I get into a new thing, whether it be work, or a new game, or whatever, I always look for a rival: someone to compete against and share constant feedback.
Be sure to get someone or some people that are within your level, so you can see each other grow, learn through their experiences, and hear what they have to say about yours.

1. Most especially, have fun

You won’t get anywhere if you think what your doing is stupid. Even if you’re not a Hollywood stunt-person or a nightly vigilante artist, look for the merits in what you do. Remind yourself of the times that make you smile and keep on reliving those moments.
Pull up that smile. Do things in more exciting ways. Not only will this help you be more positive, but you’ll also be a shining ray of light to those around you, pushing you ahead in life.

I was just laying on my bed scrolling down on twitter when suddenly the picture I've attached appeared and to my surprise it worked as a damn bad weapon against procrastination for me, I was thinking about starting up a blog like this for years but as you know by now, procrastination was in play and i always lost over it but this pic I don't know why motivated the hell out of me. Still I'm surprised how can a single pic change my mindset. Well don't u start wondering and be used to it cuz from today it is going to happen to you daily ( as long as you become my daily visitor, which I'm sure you would. Won't you?)
So that's exactly how all that I'm going to share works, even a single pic can reprogramme ur brain to do tasks u want it to do. And from today, you are going to get a daily dose of such things.
